Sustainable Conservation's spring webinar series
The Sustainable Conservation will kicked off its spring 2024 webinar series, "Climate Resilience Through Regeneration." DWR relaunches Water Management Boundary Tool
DWR’s Water Management Planning Tool has been relaunched as the Water Management Boundary Tool. It is an interactive map that allows users to overlay geographic information system (GIS) layers onto a California map and illustrate entities involved in water management in a given area. The tool can assist local agencies with their responsibilities related to the California Water Plan, integrated regional water management, and the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act.

Multi-benefit Land Repurposing Program
The Multi-benefit Land Repurposing Program was launched in August 2022 with the objective of finding shared solutions for landscapes facing an uncertain groundwater future. Since then, the program has seen significant progress toward program and block grantee goals. Maven’s Notebook recently hosted Office Hours with Ann Hayden and Sonia Sanchez from the state support entity for the program, who shared about the program and how the lessons they have learned can be applied in other basins. NOTE: The Ukiah Valley Basin GSA Board meeting in May has been cancelled. The next Board Meeting will be on June 13, 2024 at 1:30 P.M. The UVBGSA website has been updated with this information and questions can be directed to admin@ukiahvalleygroundwater.org.
California Financing Coordinating Committee (CFCC)
Free virtual funding fairs are being held on May 23 and 29, 2024 (see flyer.) The funding fairs provide the opportunity to learn more about available grant, loan, and bond financing options for infrastructure projects from federal, state, and local agencies. Representatives from water industry professionals, public works, local governments, and California Native American Tribes should attend. This includes city managers and planners, economic development and engineering professionals, officials from privately owned facilities, water and irrigation district managers, financial advisors, and project consultants.
